Lionheart Grilling and Gridiron
Grilling & Gridiron is an annual tailgate fundraiser in downtown Alpharetta supporting The Lionheart School. The next event is Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 7:30 PM behind Truck & Tap on Old Roswell Street, featuring all-you-can-eat food tents, drinks, and live SEC football.
$35 Wrist bands – All you can eat!
Thanks to Mark Pamperin, he has secured a table of 8 for our Club!
Join us, it's an afternoon of fun, good food, live music and of course football!!
This is a great opportunity to bring prospective members!
Purple Pansies Pillar of Hope Gala
The Pillars of Hope Gala is the signature annual fundraising event hosted by Purple Pansies, an Atlanta-area nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting families affected by pancreatic cancer and funding critical medical research and clinical trials.
Raises money to find a cure for pancreatic cancer and support patients. The upcoming gala is scheduled for Sunday, September 13, 2026, at The Metropolitan Club in Alpharetta, Georgia.

August Highlights!
This past month, we lost an amazing human being, Lion, man of faith, family man, friend. Thank you all for your support and presence at Bob Jamison's Memorial Service. He'll be missed.
We had a very well attended BOD meeting! Fran Schefer gave us a recap of the District 18L Cabinet meeting.
DG Dennis Chapman theme for this year is "Fill The Box" (with service, compassion, new opportunities to make a positive impact on others). A presentation was made to PDG David Crawford for his commitment and dedication to the Lions Legacy Society.
District Governor cited our own Tony Pickens, ALC Membership Chair, for his success recruiting 16 new members. Our Club received a letter of commendation from Past International President, A. P. Singh letting us know our Club has earned the Membership Satisfaction Award and presented the Club with a fiscal 2025-2026 patch to be placed below the Membership Satisfaction Banner we earned last year.
August 17th Mary Lefebvre and Lillian Pickens took the school supplies donated at our annual picnic July 26th to Brandywine Elementary School. They were very grateful!
August 21st we smoke some very good looking meats at Rob & Mary Lefebvre's home. Hope you had the opportunity of ordering some/ helping.
Our Club is doing amazing things! Several of our members earned the spotlight this past month! 🏆
Tony Pickens for his success in increasing our membership! Our Club received a letter of commendation from A.P. Singh, International President.
David Crawford at the June 12-14 GA Lions State Convention, PDG David Crawford received the International President’s Award, the second-highest award given by Lions International. It recognizes David's exceptional leadership and dedicated service to the organization. At the District 18-L Cabinet meeting held on 7/25/26, a presentation was made to PDG David Crawford for his commitment and dedication to the Lions Legacy Society.
